For our next exciting vacaSean day, we looked at a pile of rocks called Lava Butte. And Mom and Daddy wouldn't even let me throw any.
Hey Miles, wait a minute, is that a rock or sponge? You're holding it like it's lighter than Baby Jaguar!
Miles, you're so strong! Volcano rocks must be sooooo heavy.
Miles thought the whole morning was really cool and kept talking about hot lava. You can see how big the Butte is and a close up of how much Miles loved the rocks.
The scariest part of the day was definitely when we stumbled across the Lava Monster!!!
The next part was pretty cool (literally and figuratively). We got to explore a big dark lava tube. It was cold, damp, and very, very dark. I did an awesome job of maneuvering along the unsteady path inside.
After escaping the lava (monster and all), we recuperated at our Bend home-away-from-home:
Once our batteries were recharged, we went to the pool:
Miles rode around with Daddy:
While I patiently waited my turn:
He finally hopped out for a rest and it was his turn to wait patiently:
It was a fun day and we slept really well that night so we'd be ready for the next day!
