VacaSean (Day 2): SensaSeanal

by Sean

[Hey, who let Baby Jaguar on the computer!? We're now back with our regularly scheduled post.]

Leaving Roseburg on Day 2 of our road trip, we headed up to Crater Lake.
On the way, we stopped at Toketee Falls, one of the most scenic waterfalls in Oregon!

Daddy and Miles took a shower in the waterfall as soon as we got there:

Believe it or not, that's not the real waterfall!
It's actually a leak springing out of the Umpqua River's wooden diversion pipe around the waterfall.

Here's the real waterfall:

It wasn't much of hike to get there...

...but Miles still managed to get lost in a tree:

Remembering the story of Hansel and Gretel, he started leaving bread crumbs to help us find our way through the forest:

We made it back to the car and continued on to Crater Lake, which -- get this -- is a lake, inside a crater, with a wizard inside!

Hey Miles...

...Daddy...Come here...

...come take a look! The lake is sooo blue...

...but the wizard is just an island!

We posed for some pictures with it anyways:

While we were there, we practiced our cheerleading:

I grew mock OSU-teeth (Go Ducks!):

Miles had a dance-off with his shadow, which couldn't quite keep up:

Here's Miles pictured with his shadow again:

We ate lunch at the lodge (the view was terrible):

(Oh...right, it was only the service that was terrible!)

And, believe it or not, we posed for pictures. Mostly Miles, but the rest of us got involved too:

We made our way around the east side of the lake, stopping at many of the viewpoints, and taking -- you guessed it -- more pictures:

The star of every road trip, the car even posed for a picture...

...with us inside!

As we headed out of the park we passed the most exciting thing: The Pumice Desert:

But somehow we still fell asleep after our exciting day:

P.S. For the story behind how I grew my Beaver-teeth, watch:
