Miles got to dress up, decorate a cool Valentines' box, and he got lots of love from his friends.
Miles' alter ego, Dr Love, made an appearance today to help celebrate Valentine's Day. Better watch out, he'll diagnose you full of love with his mini squirt gun:
But don't worry, he's a lover, not a fighter:
To wrap up Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Week, I want to post (a.k.a. raise awareness) about three heart events we participated in last year.
First, we did the American Heart Association walk along the waterfront, where we saw some adorable goslings swimming in the river.
Here you can see the walkers in the background, and note Union Station too. Choo, choo!
One of the coolest parts of the walk was watching this man walk up from the river with a flopping fish in his bag. Little known "fact": Willamette River Trout has often been compared favorably to Copper River Salmon! Yummy!
Another heart event we did was the Lionheart night at the Children's Museum. Daddy was out of town, so Bear helped Mom take the two of us. Bonus points if you can spot Mom and Miles in this picture!
It was lots of fun, since the museum was less crowded than normal. Miles had complete control of this water machine.
And he got to run around the outside maze with some new friends.
The third heart event I want to highlight is the Mended Little Hearts of Greater Portland's annual picnic on Sauvie Island. The tractor pulled our group to the berry patches:
Miles did a great job picking blueberries. The majority he picked went in his container!
This one wasn't that lucky. Soon after this picture was taken, it was eaten in only one bite!
After we were done picking, the tractor picked our group up so we could get back to more picnic fun:
There was a water balloon toss and lots of bubbles:
I'm really proud of how strong my brother is, and I'm very honored to close out our CHD Awareness Week posts. Miles, you're the best!
